Flight to Rocky Point & Pinacate Fly-over 4/26/2003 Double click on each photo for a larger image.

David McClean was interested in an aerial view of the Pinacate area just south of the Mexican border and just north of Puerto Peņasco (Rocky Point). This is an area popular with Tucson hikers and one in which David had hiked. On April 26, 2003 we departed from Ryan Field west of Tucson and headed for Mexico. The flight to Rocky Point including the fly-over in the Pinacate area took about 45 minutes (as opposed to a three hour drive). The air was smooth and there were no adverse incidents. Checking back through customs at Tucson International Airport was also accomplished without difficulty.
